What are illnesses with chronic fatigue as a symptom?
I have been diagnosed with severe ADD Innattentive, Bipolar 2, and EDNOS. However, I have not been taking Abilify which is precribed for Bipolar because it makes me too sedated and am starting to think I was misdiagnosed. I am always tired, regardless of how much sleep I get, have chronic headaches, mood swings, and get very depressed 10 days before my period. My stomach is commonly bloated and distended for no reason that I can discern. I need to drink at least one red bull and take adderall in order to make it through the day. I have been tested for Celiacs and Hypothyroidism and do not have either.
I have chronic fatigue and desperately need some advice!?
im 15 years old and have had chronic fatigue for about 2 years. Is it affecting every aspect of my life and i hate it. I have been to a billion doctors and i get the same thing every time, there is nothing I can do except rest. Please if anyone has any advice let me know
Could I have chronic fatigue (M.E.)?
For the last 4 days I have been feeling generally unwell. I am unable to put my finger on what is wrong but I will be absolutely fine for almost a whole day but then I will do something, like walk up my steep stairs to my room, and feel absolutely exhausted. I am usually very lively and would run up my stairs and not even feel out of breath, but now my legs feel like I have run a marathon just walking up them? I have had so much sleep over the last three nights, 16hrs on Sunday night, 10hrs Monday and 12hrs last night and considering I am usually fine on only 8 I fell exhausted when I wake up, like all the sleep just isn't helping. I never really thought that chronic fatigue was a physical thing but a mental illness but after checking the symptoms online, I see that it is a physical thing. Can anyone who suffers from it tell me if you think I should worry about my symptoms? And anyone who has been diagnosed with it, how does it affect your life? I am a very busy person, I work at a Primary School and enjoy cycling and playing guitar at gigs and going to festivals am I still going to be able to do all these things if I do have chronic fatigue?
Celiac and chronic fatigue?
I was diagnosed last May with Celiac Disease. I have been gluten free for almost a year. But I am constantly tired and sometimes I get random dizzy spells. The dizzy spells don't last long, maybe a minute. I'm more concerned with why I'm so tired all the time. I sleep between 6 8hrs a night, and yet I come home exhausted, take a nap for 3 hrs, and then go to bed at midnight. The only thing I want to do is sleep, and no I'm not depressed. When I'm sleeping, it is so hard for me to wake up now, it's as if my body won't let me. I have heard that a chronic symptom is fatigue, but is this true? or could it be something else?
What is the "real" difference between chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia?
I have been fighting chronic pain, sore throat, brain fog, concentration issues, and fatigue for years. I basically feel like I have the flu everyday of my life. After years of tests and being dismissed by my primary care physician I finally see a rheumatologist. She thinks my condition is fibromyalgia, which is some progress. My gut feeling is that I have chronic fatigue syndrome. When I asked her what the difference is she said they are the same. They are in the same class of illnesses. As I do my research, I notice that doesn't appear to be the case. Do I just let it go or push for a proper diagnosis? I must say this is a huge victory to finally have someone in the medical community acknowledge my physical pain and other symptoms. It's just nice to know I wasn't imagining how terrible I was feeling and that stress makes me feel so much worse.
Can Mono and/or Limes Disease lead to chronic fatigue and future health problems?
I had Mono at some point as a teen its in my blood but i was a depressed teen so my parents attributed my sleeping to that we didn't even know i had Mono. Then at age 20 i had Limes. Took the antibiotics for that. Now at age 33 i have been suffering from severe back and hip pain for about 7 yrs. I take serious pain meds. The past few months i am so drained and ache all over. I am currently looking into chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia... i started reading things and am wondering if this is linked to the mono or lymes. Did my nervous system or immune system get damaged along the way. Also it takes me a long time to recover from minor colds or surgeries that average ppl take a few days to recover from like having my gallbladder removed takes me weeks to recover from. Sometimes months. Any suggestions or similar experiences?
A question for all of you people with chronic fatigue syndrome?
I have the god awful disease and i was wondering if any of you feel as though your neck is kind of stiff and you don't feel as though you can move it freely? Sorry it's a bit vague but i was just wondering if anyone else felt the same? Or have some kind of problem with your neck?
I keep hearing that there is a connection between chronic fatigue and ridged fingernails, any thoughts?
Anyone got chronic fatigue syndrome or knows someone who has it? Any advise? Does it get better?!?
I woke up about 7 weeks ago unable to walk very well and so exhausted after 8 hours sleep, I didn't go to school so my mum took me to the doctors to find out what was wrong. I had a blood test 2 days later and it came back fine, they was testing for a few things. I haven't been to school for 7 weeks now and I'm missin out on lots of work and I've just had to chose my gcse's They doctors have done more blood tests which have come out normal, and think I have chronic fatigue but they can't say it's that untill I've been like this for 3 months. They referred me to hospital for some doctor or something to do more tests My life has completly stopped, I did 12 hours of gymnastics a week since I was 7, and now all I do is sleep and cry Last night I broke down into tears, I can't do anything and try can't cure it My mum has told me to stay positive, I suffer from depression which hasn't helped but I see a councillor every Tuesday so that helps to let all my feelings out and have a talk about life and how to make te most of it It's so hard because I can't walk and I so want to go back to school ad see all my friends Does anyone have chronic fatigue or know someone who has it? Or just any advise? I'm not looking for sympathy, just advise Thanks

Have i got chronic fatigue syndrome ?
Hi Before I go to the Dr s about this issue I would like to know if anyone could help me diagnose it on the web. Ok. So for about 6 years I have not been able to function properly without a minimum of 12 hours sleep age 12 18 years old . The problem started when I first began high school, I would go to sleep around 11 12 pm and wake up at 7.30 am. When I woke I felt dreadful, I would be fatigued, dazed and lafargic and would only want to sleep. I would even sleep till the last minute in the mornings before school to the point where I would only have enough time to brush my teeth and get changed. Not even enough time to drink a glass of water or breakfast. So to cut a long story short this continued for the whole of high school. And on weekends I would have to sleep about 12 14 hours to catch up on a week s worth of missed sleep. At school people would ask me if I had black eyes due to my tired appearance they would also ask me if I was ok. The fatigue also affected my mental state of mind and affected other physical elements like my posture and physique some people saying I was a ghost skeleton mainly down to not eating breakfast and being an ectomorph as it is tiredness . So after all that ended I then began college I go to college Mondays Tuesday and Wednesdays and have a four day weekend. Sounds great doesn t it? Not if you may be suffering from C.f.s, I sleep for around 12 hours a day on my weekend and then when college strikes holy Christ It hurts. It s so bad I can barely manage a 3 day college week. I have to sleep after college and that just destroys any sleeping pattern I have. I now get comments from people asking me if I have some sort of illness My parents have commented saying my eye sockets are receding into my skull And I have dark circles which are black may I add under my eyes. My cheek bones have slightly receded inwards giving me a very skeletal and old looking face for an 18 year old. If anyone with any medical scientific knowledge could help it would be much appreciated It has got so bad these days I have nearly broken into tears when getting up for college I am so tired. Even when I sleep for 12 hours I feel very lafargic and dazed. My health I attend the gym 4 days a week with maximal exertion when I am there.I don t smoke or take any kind of narcotics. I drink alcohol once every two months generally for special occasions. I am 6 2 in height and am just right for my weight category as well.Mentally I don t suffer from stress anxiety depression which may affect sleepI am 18 years of age and have been suffering from what I believe is C.F.S for around 6 7 years.Additional notes On college nights I generally have around 5 7 hours sleep and on weekends I have 12 hours sleep. If you are wondering why I don t just go to bed early ? That is because I cannot. Every night at around 10 11 pm I am always wide awake I get an energy surge if I try and sleep I cannot I have lied in bed for 5 hours in the past without being able to sleep and I cannot. I don t drink any stimulants at night and I don t eat anything at night either. As you can tell I would be very thankful if someone of an outside perspective could cast their opinion over my condition. It is becoming very wearing on my life, plus my sleeping demands ruin whole days and dictate a lot of what I can and cannot do. I end up living most of my life in the dark at the minute as it is winter as I only get to see about 2 3 hours of daylight due to waking up around 2 3 pm on days off. Thank you

Chronic fatigue syndrome?
For the past few months, I've been feeling tired. It doesn't help even if I have 8 9 hrs of sleep. I've tried taking naps but to no avail. About a couple weeks ago, I fainted. Since this incident, I've experienced nausea, chest tightness, slight chest pain and slight dizziness. Even my breathing has become labored. My doctor thinks that it's vasovagal syncope. Is it possible that I have chronic fatigue syndrome?
Is this Chronic Fatigue or something else?
I am a 34 year old female and II sleep a lot. Normally I fall asleep between 1 and 1 30 am. I can easily sleep until 2 or 3pm with no problem. And even when I get up sometimes, I still feel tired. I just get up because I get sick of all my friends saying " You sleep all the time" blah blah blah. But Im wondering, would this be chronic fatigue syndrome and should I get check out? Its been this way for about the last 3 years. And sometimes, even when I wake up at 2 or 3pm, I take a nap between 5 30 and 6. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks
