I'm thirteen years old, and I HATE menstruating. It's not the cramps, I barely get any of those. What I hate is the blood. It makes me feel unclean, and it REALLY smells. I'm also really scared of getting blood all over myself when I'm on my period, or ruining clothes, or getting it on places like chairs or couches. Which has happened. One day, there was a commercial and it mentioned menopause. I was about 12. I asked my mom what it was I have a tendency to ask embarrassing questions. This one time, I asked my mom what a virgin was in the middle of a store . She told me it was when you got too old to have your period.Now every month I find myself looking forward to when I hit the age that menopause kicks in. Should I not do that? Is it bad? Will I regret it when I am old enough? Thanks.And please, no embarrassing or insulting answers.
Does menopause or premenopause insomnia take long to get over. Anyone exoerienced similar thing like me?
Im 47 yrs old. Have not had my periods since 3 months. For the last 1 1 2 months have developed depression and chronic insomnia. Tried sleeping meds but dont want to take long termand depend on it due to side effects and depende.ncy.. Does this menopausal insomnia last long or will I get over it. I feel very weak and tired due to it. Has anyone else experienced similar thing. Please help.
How do you know if the signs you are having are menopause?
I will just be sitting there and start to sweat in an air conditioned house. It is not the bad sweats that my mom described when going Thur menopause. It is a small sweat that last maybe about one minute or less.
When can my mother expect menopause?
My mom's 53. My grandma died of cancer at 40, so she doesn't know what her heredity indicates. She lives a busy life is a doctor and runs her own business . She was a smoker for a few years in her early twenties, but she hasn't touched a cigarette since. A few years after she had me, we had several deaths in the family, and her best friend got cancer. She isn't skinny, but she's not fat.

Methotrexate and Early Menopause?
I know this may sound slightly strange. I can't get to a doctor for a few weeks so help would be good please. I'm 16, have had Ulcerative Colitis since I was 13 and have been on a high dose of methotrexate for 6 months. I've been having sudden temperature changes all the time going extremely hot and as my mum is going through menopause she says it sounds similar to her hot flushes. Also I've been having night sweats and finding it hard to sleep. My periods are really irregular too. Any help?Yes I have to take methotrexate. I've been on steroids frequently also. Methotrexate is the only medicine working for me I've tried azathioprine and pentasa and many others.
My Mom's Going Through Menopause. What Should I Do?
Hi, my mom is about 48 years old, and she's going through menopause. I'm really scared for her, because it's just me and her living in this house. My sister is in University so she's too busy to come home, and my dad is in Korea, working. I'm scared because my mother is bleeding more than what usual women bleed during menopause. I've talk to my dad on the phone, and he tells me to keep an emergency contact numbers. They never really try to scare me because they think I'm young and not mature enough. I'm feeling scared that I'm going to lose my mom because of her bleeding out. What could I do to help her and to ease her pain?
Will I have Surgical Menopause?
I am having my left ovary removed due to a dermoid cyst and my left fallopian tube and having my right fallopian tube taken out due to pain ont he right side. I was thinking of asking my doctor if i could just have a partial hysterectomy. I am keeping the right ovary cause its good and don't want to go into menopause at 23. I am young, i already have two children and plan to have no more. My question is will i go into menopuase if i only have the one ovary . I am calling her tommorow to ask, this surgery is kinda of sudden, went to doc tuesday for blood work results and now i am having it monday. I wasnt suppose to plan it till May 4th. So kinda wanted opinions. All comments are greatly appreciated
