Acne skin care questions (Proactiv, etc)?
I was wondering, on most commercials for acne washes or medications, it always says " and prevents new acne from surfacing." Okay well, I have a black head problem they're all over my face and it REALLY embarrasses me and I'm thinking about actually doing an acne treatment to add on to my facial routine I currently wash my face when I wake up and before bed EVERYDAY with Clean n' Clear products because nothing has changed other than the smoothness and texture of my skin. But there's still small bumps and black heads all the time. I don't wear make up so that's not an issue, I don't tan or anything like that but I am on birth control and it gives me odd periods, could that also be affecting my skin? Just let me know what you think, I'd rather hear from real people and their experiences before visiting a dermatologist because I'm poor. Thanks for reading and hopefully answering xoAnother quick question the products that say it prevents new acne, does that mean you can stop using that product after your face is clear or do you have to use that product for the rest of your life or else you'll be a pizza again?

Good skin care treatments?
My face has begun to break out more than usual lately. I usually break out around the time of my period, or when I'm stressed, but it's nowhere near the start of my period & I have nothing to be stressed about right now. My skin has gotten very bad. I have a bunch of little blackheads on my nose that I've had for years and they won't go away, I also have bad red pimples on my chin and on my forehead. I also have an " underground" or " ingrown" pimple on my chin. I've used Clean & Clear, Perfect Skin, etc. So many different face washes to help get better skin. My skin is also really dry. Now, I'm using Pevonia. It worked at first and now it doesn't. Perfect Skin worked great at first & then it stopped, that's why I switched to Pevonia. I've also used ProActiv and it dried out my skin.What would you recommend? Are there any home treatments to help? & What skin care regimen would be best?

What are some recipes for skin spritzers or skin care products using rosewater concentrate?
I couldn't find a retailer that wasn't an online mail order that carried the facial spritzer, Rosewater and Glycerin. Having such trouble, and not wanting to spend a lot of money and time in buying bundles of fresh roses and making my own rosewater with them, I bought a bottle of vegetable glycerin and a bottle of rosewater concentrate hoping to be able to make my own product. I am frustrated to find NO specific directions or recipes for Rosewater Concentrate . I can find many recipes instructions for how to use rosewater, but none for the concentrate I have. Can anyone direct me to some sites or give me directions for such use? I've even gone to the library and found no helpful books. sigh I didn't think it would be so difficult. Thank you

Is my skin care routine WRONG!?
I have an oily skin. I prepare a warm water with salt, little bit apple vinegar, a few drops lemon juice and a few drops olive oil in the mornings. I wash my face with that, it dries it out but it feels soft and smooth. Next I wash my face with cold water. I know if you dry your skin it produces more oil, so I put moisturizer on it after that. And I do same things before go to bed. I use a lavander oil after shave cream as a moisturizer. What do you think about this plan?? Sometimes I do some cold compress after moisturize it for redness and acne scars... Please tell me what you think. Thanks

Brand named skin care ingredient vs generic brand ?
I've been using pca skin care acne cream active ingredient 5 % benzoyl peroxide and realized that many other OTC acne products have the same active ingredient but what's the difference if there are any. And if it's the same why some acne products work better than others..

Does this sound like a good skin care plan?
I am 17 and have acne and black heads on my face. Is bad but not to bad the are mainly on my nose, chin and for head. To take care of this problem I am drinking lots of water everyday now didnt drink much water in the past , taking vitamin C, fish oil, and B12 multi vitamins make me sick . I am also going to use oil free acne wash Neutrogena twice a day and oil absorbing sheets when my skin gets oily during school or when I am out. I also am going to use Clear pore cleanser mask Neutrogena once a week. Does this sound good? Any tips or advice?Thanks
